About Us
“Handmade Quality. British Professionalism. Canadian Safety.”
Five years ago, we packed up our recipes, our standards, and one rather stubborn insistence on doing things properly — and brought them from the UK to Ontario.
We started Royal Ruby because we spotted a gap that, frankly, shouldn’t exist: busy people having to choose between a decent home-cooked meal and actually getting on with their evening. That’s no way to live.
Back home, the local Indian kitchen had a standard — consistent, unfussy, and quietly brilliant. Every curry made with care. Every roti rolled by hand. No shortcuts, no fuss. We’ve simply brought that same standard to Bradford, Newmarket, and Aurora, and we get on with it every single day.
We don’t just deliver food. We hand back an hour of your evening — so you can sit down, eat something properly made, and leave the meal prep to us.

Why Royal Ruby
The Royal Ruby Promise: Quality You Can Taste
Every curry and side is prepared using traditional, slow-cooking techniques. We’ve never seen the point of a mass-production line — and we don’t intend to start now.
We use 100% Sher Atta for every roti — the gold standard of flour. Soft, fibre-rich, and hand-rolled. Because cutting corners on the basics simply isn’t done.
Our kitchen is certified and health-inspected. We brought British food safety standards with us when we crossed the Atlantic — professional-grade sanitisation, rigorous temperature controls, no exceptions.
Your tiffin travels a sensible distance — not halfway across a province. Eco-conscious packaging, tight delivery radius, low food miles. Doing right by the community and the planet, quietly and without making a song and dance about it.
Made Properly.
Every Single Day.
This is where it all happens. Our certified commercial kitchen in Ontario, run to the food safety standards we brought over from the UK — because there’s simply no other way to do it.
Every batch of Curry Pakora or Daily Tiffin is made fresh, by hand, using the same traditional techniques we’ve always used. No shortcuts. No batch-frozen nonsense. Just real food, made locally, for people who deserve better than a sad desk lunch.
Our Commitment
🌿 Local Freshness & Sustainability
The best Punjabi food shouldn’t travel across provinces to reach your plate — and ours doesn’t. Keeping things hyper-local is just common sense: better freshness, lower emissions, and food that hasn’t spent three days in a lorry.
📍 The 15-Mile Freshness Guarantee
- Cooked in our local kitchen and delivered directly to your door — no warehouses, no middlemen, no drama.
- Zero Long-Haul Transit — your tiffin spends less time in a van and more time being made properly by hand.
- Low Food Miles — we group our deliveries sensibly within a tight radius. Less fuel, fewer emissions, fresher food. It’s not complicated.
♻️ Towards Zero-Waste Dining
- Minimal Packaging — eco-conscious throughout. Zero faff, zero waste, no plastic mountain left behind.
- Community First — we source key ingredients from local suppliers in York Region and Simcoe County. Supporting our neighbours is just the done thing.
- We’re quietly getting on with making takeout better — for you and for the planet.
